It does the work for you, vibrating thousands of times a second, massaging your gums, it lets you clean your teeth without scraping your gums with a toothbrush, which can cause them to recede and bleed, and it reaches between your teeth to catch plaque and germs. This is a wonderful toothbrush, and I recommend it. However, if you want a review of a toothbrush, you'll read the toothbrush page. This is a page for replacement heads.
There's a lot of confusion about replacement heads for Oral B electric toothbrushes on Amazon, and I just want to give you all some facts. There are only three kinds of heads for ALL Oral-B electric toothbrushes. Flexisoft EB17, Extrasoft EB17, and Ortho OD17. I prefer Flexisoft EB17, which is what this item is. (The Extrasoft is a little too soft, and the Ortho is overpriced)
The reason I mention this is that the prices are all over the board for what is the same product. For example, this listing is for four Flexisoft EB17 heads for $24.99 (The EB17-4 just means there are four of them). There are other offers through Amazon partners for this exact same item for $12.99. Make sure you find the best deal, because they're all the exact same product, listed multiple times at different prices!

(More customer reviews)I'm an Oral B user of many years, have always bought replacement brushes at the local drugstore, and was completely satisfied. I purchased this 3-pack of replacement heads and had one come apart in my mouth after a few weeks of normal use. The metal pin at the end of the head came completely out and the rotating head came off. Both head and metal pin were loose in my mouth, an obvious swallowing hazard. The packaging displayed here does not look like my packaging, which is very plain saying only "Oral B Precision Clean", and the brush just feels cheap.
I cannot prove this brush to be a counterfeit yet, but I am contacting Oral B.
Update: Contact Oral B by telephone. Item I received is counterfeit and Oral B requested I return it to them. If your item's packaging does not look identical to the customer supplied images, I would not use the replacement head.

(More customer reviews)No much to say. The blades/foil are replaced about every 18 months (n.b., I have a heavy beard) and the cleaning "tubs" about once a month. I have read of people refilling the cleaning containers themselves using various mixtures but what's the point. They run a few dollars a month when purchased in bulk. The razor (Braun 9000) itself is very good. No problems except some cosmetic wear after 2 1/2 years of use. Excellent electric razon

(More customer reviews)I was excited to find a cheap replacement for the Oral-B heads. At first they work great, after 3-5 days, the head becomes loose and wobbles around. When turned on it will just vibrate instead of rotating back and forth. Yes these heads are cheap but you will blow though a pack for 4 in about 2-3 weeks... Not worth it.

(More customer reviews)I purchased my Braun 7526 Syncro Shaver over a year ago and I have yet to replace the foil or cutter block.
My beard is not thick; however the individual hairs on my face are thick, so I need a good shaver to do a good job. Even though I have been shaving with the same foil and cutter block for a little over a year without any problems, there are a few tricks to make your foil and cutter block last longer. They are as follows:
1. Do not press down hard when shaving (it actually cuts better when you let up on the shaver).
2. Use a pre-shave lotion.
3. Do not use the "Clean and Charge" system after every shave. The alcohol in the refills tends to shorten the life of your foil.
4. Use the Clean and Charge system ONLY when it needs to be recharged. Other times clean your shaver by using the brushes it came with.
5. Reseal the clean and charge refill with the lid it came from after every time you use it. It will last you FAR LONGER. The alcohol dissipates when left open. This will save you a lot of money too!
6. If you must use a lubricant on your shaver, spray the foil and cutter foil with an aerosol spray cleaner like Remington Shaver Saver or some other lubricant.
If you follow some very simple techniques (as mentioned above), you can save a lot of money on refills, foils and cutter blocks.

I am STILL using the original foil and cutter block. I kid you NOT. I purchase 2 extra sets but I have yet to use them.
